There are not many applicants for the post of 'Giant slayer' yet none in fact! ... [The Mayor] will confirm [the characters] are the only applicants so far and give them directions to an old mine. Later that day while planning the hunt, [the characters] are approached by [a man] who says that he'd like to join in the hunt if they will have him, splitting the reward fairly.
