The Giff Like You've Never Seen Them!
Giff have been a beloved part of D&D’s Spelljammer setting since 2nd Edition, but they’ve been sort of a one-note species. If the giff ancestors left their place of origin so many generations ago that their world, culture, and even their gods have been forgotten, how then is it that giff are known as a species with a single, unified martial culture? Firearms can be an exciting addition to the game, but there should be more to a people than their weapons technology.
Take your giff characters to new heights with three new and one expanded subspecies, including a description of each culture. Each one excels at different functions in the adventuring party, opening up giff beyond the ranged striker role.
Is your giff a physically imposing proudtusk? Perhaps they follow the intellectual path of the sojourners or the mystic startouched? Or for the traditionalist, the familiar musket-toting giff have been given their own identity as the flintskin lineage.
