The desert has a way of shrouding time in sand.
Once upon a time, the lush and green planet was home to many Great Houses. Each of these Houses ruled over their people, to forward their own agendas, and take from the planet, returning nothing. Over time, the planet began to dry up, soon turning into a barren and sandy husk of its once beautiful former self. Conflict, that was once done entirely in the shadows, became open warfare between the Houses. The resource most important to them: a precious mineral that held the power to terraform.
The lush forests became barren wastes as water began to dry up and rainfall ceased. What little greenspace left on the planet soon became even hotter conflict zones, as the Great Houses' powers waxed and waned against each other. Eventually, the tiny amount of life-giving mineral was no longer enough for the Houses to fight over. The Houses that survived began leaving the planet, returning to their own worlds with their newfound abilities to create life from nothing.
You are a native to the planet, a Glider. Once revered nomads, traders, and ecological experts, your people have adjusted to the new way of life, the scrapping of materials and resources left behind by the Houses, in hopes that you can one day begin the regrowth of everything lost. The planet is harsh but you are prepared.

GLIDE is a solo roleplaying and journaling game about exploring, scavenging, and finding your way in the world. You will spend time travelling the desert planet of Eridoor, while searching for scrap, materials, artefacts, and important pieces of technology. As you complete tasks for your chosen Guild House, achievement points will be rewarded with new ranks, access to new skills, and additional resources to spend as you see fit. Your ultimate goal is to acquire enough points with a guild to become a full member.
