Gradius ReBirth was part of a trio of games that Konami developed for digital release on the Nintendo Wii in 2008 and 2009. The other two games are Contra ReBirth and Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth. All three games were meant to pay homage to the popular 1980s classics from their respective series.
All three were WiiWare exclusives, did not appear on any other platforms, and did not receive any sort of physical release.
