Chinatown Wars, in a significant departure from previous games in the franchise, uses a cel-shaded, cartoon-like graphical style and a camera angle somewhere between the top-down view of the original Grand Theft Auto games and the ground-level perspective of the later, 3D incarnations.
Originally released for the Nintendo DS, Chinatown Wars includes many 'minigames' that the player must succeed at to do things in the game world (such as hot-wiring a car).
