Great Robot War

Game ID: GID0147212
Collection Status
Description

This is a game from the long defunct Takatoku line. The game is about two factions of robots that are in conflict with one another. Their goal is to capture and destroy the other side's base.

The game includes many plastic robot figures, complete with stands, a spinner, and other identification pieces. The game uses the spinner for results and there are no dice. There are also terrain pieces that are representative of hills and swamps.

Robots are rated according to their movement ability, with some doing better at sea or land, their endurance, and weapons. Weapons are rated for their range and destructive power.

In this game, it is possible for any robot to destroy another if its destructive power is larger. All of this, and movement is defined by the spinner's results. The spinner has two values. The top value is the attack, and the bottom is the movement, so when you spin there is two results. There is a chance to replenish your robots at your base.

A careful combination of strategy and tactics are needed to win the game.
