Description

(from "Brief Introduction to the Game," pages 5-6)

Greenwich Village, 1913: Suffrage, Labor, and the New Woman takes students into the bohemian enclave in lower Manhattan where men and women from all parts of the United States have gathered to experiment with new ways of living and thinking. These rebels from the elites and middle classes not only reject the beliefs and values of their elders, they also hope to use their talents to create a new America for the new century. It is 1913 and everything seems possible: men and women free themselves from family responsibilities, women become financially independent, the arts and sciences probe the individual’s inner worlds of emotion, vision, identity.
