The Damned Swamp is a short expedition optimized for 2nd-level characters, written using the 2024 D&D ruleset. It is set in the Greyhawk campaign setting, but it can be easily adapted to other fantasy worlds, being it essentially a simple clear-the-hex scenario.
In western Nyrond, between the Celadon Forest and the Gnatmarsh, a small group of human druids and elvish farmers founded the village of Darkmud about two hundred years ago. After centuries of peaceful life, the settlement is currently in troubles. Initially started as a simple infestation of poisonous fungi, the phenomenon is now getting worse and worse, with monsters, mutated animals and plants threatening the life of the peaceful inhabitants. PCs are requested to destroy the creatures lurking in the nearby marshes and the ones which are currently desecrating Darkmudans' holy sites.
