INTRODUCTION:
As the master city planner, your job is to attract new businesses to your city that match up with what your citizens want. Can you build the next New York, Las Vegas, or San Francisco? You’ve got three years in your position – so let’s find out!
DESCRIPTION:
Grid City is a tactical/strategic competitive game for 2-6 players who each will be attempting to build a city that most closely resembles their target city. Each target city has attributes and you want to select businesses that align up the most with your target city, while ensuring that each business will fit properly.
GAME OBJECTIVE:
Maximize your cities value while minimizing it's footprint
GAMEPLAY:
Each round players will take turns selecting businesses to include in your new city. Players can continue to acquire businesses as long as they want, but at a risk of adding a larger city footprint (land usage size). At the end of each round, players need to match up businesses next to each other based upon which businesses can be placed next to each other (aka matching icons). At the end of the third round, players will score up their city, bonuses, and city costs to determine the winner.
