The game was at least given away as a promotional gift by one sauna facility, Sauna 5 Mei in Leiden, in 1982 during the Open Days from September 6 to 11. It is possible that it was used by other facilities as well.
The Dutch Sauna Association, founded in Amersfoort in 1969, merged on October 2, 2012, with the Sauna and Thermen Business Group of RECRON to form Sauna and Wellness Netherlands.
It's a variation on Goose Game with some alternative routes. The rules are titled "The Great National Sauna Game," which does not match the title on the box.
