Guidance Notes to Help DMs Integrate the Class into Their Game
Rangers usually patrol the boundaries of a territory in order to protect it from incursion - but what happens when there’s a full scale invasion that cannot be repelled? Surely any selfrespecting ranger must follow the invading forces deeper into the ranger’s own home turf?
We have built and playtested this conclave within the 5e 2014 ruleset. We hope to allow for ranger characters built around real world asymmetric warfare tactics. There’s plenty of scope for fantasy RPG thrills that evoke such classics of 20th Century cinema as Predator and Rambo and we feel that, set as they are in open air environments, it is the ranger that should embody this type of character.
