From publisher blurb:

Westward Bound

Solanor is the Capital of the Western Domain. Located on the Western Domain’s southern peninsula, Solanor is the sprawling artistic center of Haldskyr. Home to extensive libraries and revered theaters, Solanor is a diverse city that boasts some of the most accomplished performers and historians. While Solanor now participates in frequent trade routes with the Eastern Domain, before the establishment of the trade agreement regional commerce operated on a successful bartering system. Many Solanor locals still use this system, preferring the direct trade of goods and services to the use of currency.

As with the rest of the world, in Solanor, specific details of the Great War and beyond have been lost or muddled throughout the years. The city has remnants of secrets from the war and beyond, particularly the oldest regions of Stavanger in the form of ancient architecture. In Solanor there is, however, a greater sense of clue on learning about the past, the war, and the Watching Stars. The city is filled with historians, artists, and artisans. All of which, daydreamers to uncover lost secrets or at least write their own imaginings. Just north of the city is the so-called Starfire Labyrinth, a magnificent winding path of hedge and stone. The shape of the Labyrinth mimics the constellations above in an intricate network of twisting passages. What makes the Starfire Labyrinth distinctly perplexing is that none have ever claimed its creation.

Present-day Solanor is a bustling hub of activity. Often considered Astra's younger, more rebellious sibling. The city is made up of six smaller regions, each of them with its distinct culture, that has been amalgamated into the city of Solanor over the years. These consist of Old Solanor, Copenton Market, The Annex, Vismilliank, Helgastaoir, and Mjola.

Old Solanor, previously known as just Solanor before the war, holds the oldest structures in the city due to being the original settlement in the area and therefore has captured the interests of all manner of historians and researchers, even those without permission to access certain sacred or protective halls. Copenton Market is the current heart of Solanor and is the best region to encompass Solanor’s entrepreneurial, artistic, and competitive spirit. With a vast congregation of people, always comes clashing of minds and strange new ideas. Be careful of who you run afoul of or befriend within the market.

The Annex are the cliffside structures which were added by a group of Xhrysafens after Solanor was already established as a city and soon became popular with thrillseekers using the cliffs as a diving spot or attempting to brave the cold, harsh mountain treks. Vismilliank is the region with the most outsiders and travellers new to the city, the community stables and the hotel are both located here, which means they probably have the most knowledge about any troublesome newcomers to town. Halgastair is the only region that stretches out to the sea which means it has a very unique seaside geography and culture, visitors by ships aren’t uncommon and the area has a mysterious aura around it the closer you get to the water and the sea caves. Mjola the northern region of Solanor, closer to the middle is a thriving cultural hotspot, however, the edges of the region are more sparsely populated, and there have been disappearances of people who venture out into the wild.

The last region is not technically part of Solanor proper, although its close proximity means it’s often included in conversations about the city. Many residents of Solanor find themselves preoccupied with the mystery of the Starfire Labyrinth. Brave travellers often go forth on expeditions in an attempt to uncover its secrets. However, many of them are lost to the wilderness and harsh elements, although there are rumors of something more being the cause of some of the disappearances.
