In Hand to Toad, players guide their toad familiars through an uninhabitable swamp to collect the highest scoring collection of ingredients. Combining strategic movement and information gathering up to 4 witches take turns casting spells to pick up items in the swamp.
Play proceeds in rounds comprised of turns. Each round continues until each player has cast all their spells once. On your turn:
You must cast one of your available spells.
You may pay energy to use the abilities of your familiar indicated on their identity card.
At the end of a round you may use one of the abilities of your familiar for free. Then you receive five more energy tokens, refresh all your spells, and begin the next round. Once three rounds have been completed, the game ends and players total their scores. The player with the highest score wins.
