Description

From the publisher:

Can playing a board game stop your child from making grim financial mistakes as an adult? That’s the aim of Hard Times, the money management board game for kids (and their parents) that seeks to eliminate those future financial mistakes.

Players start out with a line of credit and loop through the path any young adult might take: dinner with friends, college, finding a job, shopping for house supplies. But Hard Times lives up to its name: get fined for parking in the handicapped space, max out your credit card, and turn down a job only to be faced with a hospital bill? Real life hurdles lurk.

Players compete to build personal wealth. The first player to be gainfully employed, purchase and furnish a home, buy a car, and – here’s the tricky part – end up debt free, wins the game.
