Hedgehog Style teaches that the best defense is a good offense. The hedgehog warrior turns her spear into a wall of spikes to ward away her enemies. If a spear isn't available, a knife will do, or a broken board, or a hairpin. Honestly, the broken board is convenient, because then when the battle is over you can toss it down and wander off to find a bowl of noodles while looking stupid and innocent.
