The area northwest of Stenbakkerne - Jætteskoven - is rarely visited by demi-humans; even rangers avoid the area. The area doesn't have a bad reputation; but it is known as the forest stalking area for Stokkelbjärgen's giants - and so it has been for a long time. In spite of the hateful relationships between the giants and the other races, nobody has challenged the uneasy, informal boundary line. At least, not on purpose.
