Heroes of Darkwell is a symmetrical Deck-Building game inspired by the Fantasy RPG Genre. Players assume the role of a villager, with unique scores in Strength, Agility, Intellect and Presence. Players collect XP by defeating monsters, which they use to purchase new skills and attack cards to add to their deck. Over the course of the game, each player's character becomes more and more powerful with a unique combination of skills and attacks at their disposal. Once enough XP is earned, each player's villager will become a hero, gaining increased attributes, more health, and a unique special ability.
Can you overcome all obstacles to make a hero capable of stopping the monster horde?
Even though Heroes of Darkwell plays like a cooperative game, it is, at it's core, a competition, as the player with the most XP from their monster pile wins the game and receives the title "The Hero of Darkwell".
