High North Bestiary

From the introduction:

The High North is known for its sparse population and an environment that's hostile towards any life. Creatures not able to survive and succeed in these harsh conditions cannot thrive. Whatever still manages to succeed in these cold and dangerous mountains and forests will be a dangerous foe indeed.

Even the general population is more hostile and skilled in warfare than in most other regions. The average northman knows how to handle his axes and defend himself with a shield. But even they might not dare to venture to the highest mountaintops or deep into the caves.
