1 New Mounted Rogue Archetype - The Highwayman
2 New Optional Feats and notes on optimal feat choices
1 NPC Statblock for a Dashing Highwayman, incorporating the * Statblock for their Trusting Mount
This mounted rogue subclass is intended to be used in conjunction with the rogue class as presented in the Player’s Handbook or alongside the options from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. In addition DMs should refamiliarize themselves with the chase rules from the Dungeon Master’s Guide page 252.
We have tried to hit all the genre beats of the typical highwayman narrative without overloading the subclass with features. In order to manage this we have employed elements of the assassin and swashbuckler wording, whilst reigning in the breadth of scope under which these conditional features apply.
This booklet is a little shorter than our usual standard but, even though it’s bijou bitesized, it still manages to contain two new feats designed to add a hint of the criminal to any character build, and a statblock for a Dashing Highwayman and his Trusting Mount, that a DM can just drop straight into their game. Besides there’s more than enough going on in the subclass features to keep any rogue player’s excitement mounting.
