From publisher blurb:
Learn of the trolls of the universe!
Glaxar. Colossal and mighty trolls, the glaxar are two beings within one body. Glaxar trolls are Zurnian spirits, beings of pure entropic energy that are often adrift in the galaxy, waiting and watching. But, they are able to take shape when they find derelict or destroyed ships and mecha, fusing them together into a huge mechanized form with a soul-engine burning bright. Glaxar trolls are rare, as the sheer amount of material needed to craft their bodies requires huge amounts of debris. Many people often believe that most glaxar trolls formed after the Cataclysm Wars, given the sheer amount of ruined machinery drifting through space. Seeing a glaxar troll either spells doom, or an eerie calm.
Mwanghagar. Said to have originally been a colony of mwande who were lost to space, the mwanghagar have long since left their pastoral nature behind and become galactic expansionists. Having risen to fill the spot of the Ahd and other powerful governments who fell, the Mwanghagar Insurgency is viewed with suspicion by many formal powers across the galaxy, but for those worlds under their protection, they welcome the mwanghagar presence. Standing around thirty feet tall with regal crimson and gold armor that accentuates their natural plating, they leave their heads bare to display their massive horns, with adorned head circlets representing their various clans within the Insurgency, with their favored weapons being huge swordrifles. Their skin ranges from deep gray to pale ivory, with eye colors in various ranges. They are majestic and powerful, thoughtful and stoic, but when individuals attempt to oppose the Insurgency, the mwanghagar are ferocious fighters.
Kranthrald. Powerful seers and defenders, many individuals fly past a slumbering kranthrald troll as they float in their dormant state, watching, waiting, listening. Born not from the Zurn, but from Ether, kranthrald trolls have a singular purpose: to guide those who would do good towards their path. How they know who will do this is unknown to them, but millions of kranthrald roam the universe, always on the alert. Standing about twenty feet tall, they are biomechanical and spheroid in shape, with large heavy arms and smaller stumpy legs supporting large round bodies. Their plating ranges in color, usually adapting to wherever they dwell, and their faces resemble serene unmoving masks, wide and simple. However, these are simply hosts, as the true kranthrald is the small seemingly helmet-like creature that dwells inside the head of the biomechanical body.
Oz'bhor. Towering close to fifteen feet tall, oz’bhor trolls are crude, loud, and brutal, loving nothing more that causing chaos. However, there is a dichotomy to oz’bhor trolls, as while they radiate this badass loudmouth persona, they are also highly effective mercenaries and security agents. With pale white skin, thick matted black mane-like hair, jutting squaish tusks, deep crimson eyes, and strange Zurnian tattoos that will manifest in black across their bodies, oz’bhor trolls love chains, spikes, and leather, giving them a punk aesthetic. However, it is never over the top, adhering to their sense of practicality for the battlefield. Favored either heavy chainguns or blascannons, you can bet that any oz’bhor you come across will be packing.
Akasha. The Akasha are trolls made of space dust and interstellar gas living amongst star-birthing regions of nebulas. They are amorphous, nebulous and indefinite. It has a sepertine, draconic form with a long, sinewy body, their scales sparkle and glitter with the light of newborn stars. The Akasha are the personification of pure, bright, creation energy of the Zurn. The energy that forms stars in their wake which, in turn, creates all other things. The Akasha are not nomadic trolls, they settle within the nebula region upon which themselves, are formed. They spend their whole lifetimes in their nimbus homes, starcrafting, growing and starcrafting once more. Mortals know not the extent of an Akasha troll’s lifetime, would they last till the end of the galaxy or the heat death of the universe? If there is an answer to that cosmic question, the Akasha are particularly tight-lipped about it.
Narak. The Narak are chiropteran, sentient black hole trolls that lumber across the cosmos. They are large, with their wings spanning the breadth of the ever-encircling void at the center of their chests with iridescent colours of purples, golds and deep maroons. Their wings are sharp-edged, and spiny and exude an intimidating stature. These heralds of destruction are formed when a star dies unleashing a supernova explosion, amidst these powerful forces the energetic clusters of Ether and Nul intersect violently to birth these conscious spacetime phenomena.
Prithva. The Prithva are the living temples to trollkind, they are the will of the Zurn personified and made into monuments to trolls across the cosmos. Their bodies have a large expanse of terrain and bodies of water that differ from Prithva to Prithva. There are living beings that live upon the surface of the Prithva and they live in a peaceful symbiotic relationship. They skitter and clamber all over their bodies, even exploring the nooks of the proud temple that rests upon the Prithva’s backs. These temples are said to house Zurnian artifacts; mysterious and powerful items formed by the Zurn. Explorer logs from previous Prithva encounters have noted warnings from some wandering Prithva, stating that they carry dangerous artifacts and to travel in a wide berth away from them.
Svā. The Svā are bipedal, quilled troll that are often heavy-set and muscular. It wears metallic plate armor with an opening on its back to allow its spines to emerge outwards. Their armor also sports flowing cloth elements along the legs. They wield curved blades and daggers like the keris and wear a sharp-edged mask of a great creature bearing fangs.
