An edition of the Pepys Board Game Series.
Game contains one large three-folded gameboard, 6 bakelite horses with jockeys (metal ones in a different edition) on wooden stands, 2 black and two red wooden dice, 2 bakelite dice shakers and three obstacles on wooden or metal wire stands (regarding how many horses start).
Players agree before play how long the racecourse they want to play. According to this the obstacle(s) are placed.
The dice are thrown, one showing which horse will move and the other how far this horse will ride.
Interesting rule is that always two dice-pairs are thrown simultaneously, speeding up play.
The obstacles do what they are designed for: Hinder a horses move.
It is advised that players place bets before commencing to play.
