Hey, Traveler! This is the 13th installment of the brochure adventure series. Following the same train of thought of the one-page dungeons, these are system-neutral and easy to adapt to any system.

In House of Gold, the heroes hear of a fabled vault unearthed among the sand dunes. Legend has it that a grandiose hoard of gold ingots lies inside. But the tale also speaks of how this treasure is cursed and cannot be taken. Some valiant or fool tomb-robbers have already tried to retrieve this treasure but they became cursed and brought the malefic enchantment with them. Now, people behave erratically as they are afflicted with an incurable greed that renders them useless and violent.

When the characters explore this strange place, they find it filled with perilous traps and mighty guardians. The hoard of gold ingots is real; a veritable marble to the eyes and the heart. Alas, the characters must contend with the undead spirit of the hoard's owner, Varlix Donovar. In his greed, Donovar takes care of his assets even after his untimely death a long time ago.
