Adventure Background
Oceanus, the god of the sea, has strict rules by which sea dwellers and land dwellers may live side by side. However, some powerful beings choose to defy the great god of the ocean depths. Leviathan is one such being.
A single priestess has come, hearing of a cult dedicated to the great sea monster. She was kidnapped and brought to the island home of this cult, where she is to be brought as a sacri ce to summon Leviathan. Leviathan is known for having a particular hunger for the flesh of those faithful to Oceanus, and the cult plans to use her to fulfill their bargained oath to Leviathan.
After learning of the priestess’ predicament, the party has taken to the sea on a small boat and landed on the shore of the strange and mysterious island just as a storm has begun to form. They have heard of the danger, but are likely unprepared for what they are about to face.
