Hunt for the Graf Spee is an hex and counter game for two players. The British Player will try to locate and sink the Graf Spee. The German Player, whose sole unit it is, will try to locate and sink British Shipping while avoiding destruction. Movement is secretly plotted and units are placed on map after being successfully searched for. There is a small tactical subsystem to handle naval combat, similar to Minden Games Salvo (ships are firing full broadsides and maintaining range, or firing half broadsides and changing range)
