At the edge of civlization, bordering untamed wilds where threats amass far from the ears of kings, there are warriors of the wilderness fighting for a people that don't even know they exist.
These warriors bend both sword and bow to their cause. Using old tricks and new innovations, they utilize their surrounds to trap foes, harvest medicines, and overcome challenges.
Experienced huntsman might focus on their martial prowess and pick up the skillset of a marauder. Others aquire the skills to wrangle wild beasts, bending them to their will. Stories do also surface of huntsmen discovering ancient runes written on standing stones or carved into very old trees. These huntsmen, known as runewrites, practice carving these runes and have learned to harness their magic.
The Huntsman class is a homebrew martial alternative to the Ranger. There are three unique archetypes presented here for the class along with over 20 Tricks of the Trade options. Tricks of the Trade are a class mechanic designed to add versitility and power in place of arcane spells.
