Hyper Ball is a fast-paced, hard-hitting futuristic sports game. It is played with two teams of four power armoured athletes in a walled arena. Points are scored by throwing or kicking the ball into the opposing team’s goal.
Players alternately activate their team members and spend action points to manoeuvre them around the arena. Whenever a player wishes to throw the ball they must flick a disc at the relevant target on a separate dexterity board to determine if the throw was successful.
Every team member has a number of power points stored in their armour’s battery which can be spent on either; generating additional action points, re-flicking missed throws, knocking down opponents or activating special abilities. Depleted batteries can be recharged when the athletes use the “rest” action.
At the end of a pre/determined number of turns the team with the highest number of goals will be declared the victors.
