Description

From publisher blurb:

Beyond the warm light of Earth, past the red deserts of Mars and the drifting stations of the Belt, humanity has carved out settlements in the frozen darkness of the outer system. These are not sprawling cities or corporate hubs—they are sealed bunkers buried beneath thick ice, hidden from the radiation of deep space, existing only because of sheer will and necessity.

The Iceborn are the humans who call these places home. Born and raised in colonies on Europa, Titan, Ganymede, and other frozen moons, they are cut off from the comforts of the inner system, reliant only on their ingenuity, their technology, and each other. To outsiders, they are mysterious, reclusive, and impossibly resilient.

To themselves, they are simply the last frontier of human survival.

This booklet explores the history, physiology, culture, and psychology of the Iceborn, the rare humans who thrive in the cold and isolation of the outer system.

The Iceborn do not walk on open ground. They do not see the sun as more than a distant glimmer through kilometers of ice. Their world is perpetual twilight, a place where breath fogs in recycled air and where a single failure of infrastructure means death for the entire colony.

Icebound settlements exist below the surface, buried within frozen crusts or submerged under oceans of liquid methane.
The cold is not just an enemy—it is a constant reality. Every structure, every machine, every human action must account for the freezing void beyond their walls.
There is no outside air—only what the colony produces. Iceborn grow up knowing that every breath they take comes from a carefully monitored system that can never fail.
Artificial lighting is the only sun they know. The stars exist only as distant points of light, too far away to provide warmth or meaning.
Unlike Spacers, who float between worlds, or Martians, who dream of terraforming a planet, the Iceborn have no grand vision beyond surviving the next solar cycle. Their world is harsh, but they are harsher.

This is a full 5e Race, with a description, Unique Abilties, for a Near Future Scifi setting.
