Illithoids are a diminutive relative of the dreaded Mind Flayers. Their thin, wiry bodies are so pale as to be translucent - their veins seem to float beneath the warped glassiness of their skin, and their organs can be seen floating in their translucent torsos. Their limbs are long and their fingers are slender and grasping, their pale eyes large and watery, and their tentacles are much shorter than those of a mind flayer, though far more sensitive; an Illithoid can sense emotions and thoughts on the air. They were once parasitic feeders, who siphoned thoughts from passers by, but the magic of the mind flayers brought them into sentience, but failed to make them subservient, nor to link them to the elder brain.
This Playable Race allows you to travel as a colourful and intuitive Illithoid, absorbing the emotions and feelings of those around you as you as you adventure!
