In the fifteenth year of the reign of Queen Nemea of Korngold, the peaceful land is invaded by a treacherous neighbor. The queen’s husband Prince Edmond has personally gathered all of Korngold’s able-bodied men and women to hold the eastern provinces against the invaders.
In this desperate time, news of a mysterious new threat has reached the Queen’s ear from the western borderlands of Korngold: Villages have been raided by demonic forces! With the full army being caught in the east, who can face this new threat?
And so, it is the time for a strange group of unlikely heroes to step out of the shadows and save their queen and their kingdom from a great peril.
The adventure is meant as an introduction into the OCP system. It shows how you can create really unique and interesting characters.
The adventure gives ample opportunity for the characters to show off their unique skills and supernatural abilities.
It also helps a Game Master new to the OCP System to run an OCP Adventure (e.g. by providing information on scaling encounters).
The adventure has sepcifically be designed to make it as easy as possible to run for the Game Master:
It provides a lot of material (maps, handouts, NPC images, artwork for locations,...) that is organized in a way (scene summaries, artwork sorted by chapter,...) to make it easy for the Game Master to run the adventure without having to leaf through the PDF all the time.
It also contains guidelines for the time boxing of the scenes to make sure the sadventure can be finished in the avaiable time frame.
It can be run in one long 6h (pure game time) session. There are hints for streamlining scenes, if time runs out.
There are also ideas for additinoal "side quests" that can be woven into the story.
