In the Name of Justice! is a playable game in tradeback format, containing rules and a scenario. It is published as a ZIP archive that contains the main rule book, two single page, full-page maps (PDF Format - Bank, Street); a four-page print-cut-use PDF of game tokens and cards, and an HTML "index" file to the other documents.

Characters have primary "Stats" (Attributes) including: Strength, Coordination, Health, and Intellect. Characters also have four derived secondary "Stats": Luck, Speed, Hit Points, and Armor. Primary Stats run from 2-10 for ordinary humans. Luck and Armor start at zero; Speed is usually 3; human Hit Points run from about 20-40. Superheroes may have substantively higher scores in some areas depending upon their build and powers. Super characters are assumed to have Abilities and may also have Disabilities. The game also uses a lengthy array of Skills for most mundane tasks. Combat is a primary topic and assumed to be a routine activity in the game. The combat system includes numerous options, special situations, conditional modifiers, and so forth.
