Infernal Harvest

From the introduction:

A thousand years ago, when the Tygon Imperium dominated the land, a small group belonging to an ethnic minority, fled the capital to settle in the lands of Botavia. Since Botavia was a wild and barbaric land, the armies of the Imperator (emperor of Tygon) had not advanced far beyond the Jorchin River. This settlement was not to last though since the orcish occupants of the land resented human intrusion, so attempted to drive them out. Since the refugees were not equipped to fight a pro-longed war with the orcs, those that survived fled into a swamp upon a nameless tributary of the Jorchin River.
