The game is an extension to the classic Monopoly. In INFLA:Defla the objective remains: to avoid bankruptcy and ending up as the richest player. The game is enhanced by introduction of the monetary gold standard scenarios, inflation, boom, hyperinflation and deflation. The players are thus introduced to the operation of monetary policy and the importance of economic activity. In addition, there are new event and corporate cards, such as the terrorist or the Recovery Plan, and the purchase of crisis safe investment options available in the form of gold and silver.
