Description

Publisher's blurb:

Inner Healers is a sixty minutes diceless & character creation less cooperative role-playing game with a GM for 2 to 6 players. In this successful mix between an escape room, a case investigation and an RPG you take the role of therapists who repeatedly immerse themselves in the mental world of sleeping patients to cure them of their mental disorders. Before each dive, the players will be able to change parameters of the patient's mental world and to select which character they want to enact in it via a dedicated digital free webservice.

Inner Healers is perfect for fans of investigations and problem solvers. It draws its inspiration from (and should enlight fans of) RPGs (La méthode du Docteur Chestel, Paranoïa), TV series (The Prisoner, Code Quantum, Paprika), movies (DreamScape, The Cell, Matrix, Inception), video games (Psychonauts, To the moon) and scientific literature (brief strategic therapy, Ericksonian hypnosis, computational neuroscience).

The Manual (in English and French) is divided into four sections illustrated with thematic purple-green vintage dark comic art.

The Universe describes the places and the people behind the groundbreaking Immersive Computational Therapy (ICT).
The Intervention describes the stages of a game session.
Too good to be true is a ten page scenario in which players will try to cure a diplomat from its sudden narcolepsy.
The Appendices explain how to use the Dream Operator Terminal, give the GM tips to craft unique tense scenarios, deal with zero-setup one-shots and unlock the players in their healing journey.

Inner Healers is perfect for an RPG initiation and for seasoned players alike. It lends itself to both one-shot and serial formats. It even has successfully been used on stage as an improv prompt and in classrooms to familiarize students with object-oriented programming.
