The characters are citizens from various nations, ethnicities, and/or religions. Some are unaligned mercenaries, while others are patriots. They all had some motivation before the invasion, but none of them matter.
Armed, behind enemy lines, and lacking communication, the heroes must fight through their mistrust of others and the destroyed city to find salvation.
Along the way, the characters are forced to engage this mysterious threat and care for a group of civilians they find along the way.
When the truth is discovered, the players must dare to get to the epicenter in a daring attempt to convince the alien force that it's on the wrong planet.
