Description

From publisher blurb:

It is an age when heroes ventured to the places that the bulk of civilized lands feared - into a fantastic world of arcane wizards, bold warriors, powerful kings, and fell beasts. The voyages were perilous, but the rewards were great. Thrust your heroes into epic swords and sorcery quests. Portray fantasy classics like dwarves, elves, goblins, centaurs, and other species as warriors, wizards, holy men, shamans, and more. Will they find glory or treachery, triumph or an early death?

Iron & Gold is a roleplaying game designed to be both easy to learn and fast-paced. The versatile genreDiversion i (1.2) 2d6 rules make it perfect for one-shot games, extended play, or as a framework for your own ideas. Plus you can combine it with our Active Exploits Diceless System for diceless fantasy. genreDiversion i games can also be combined to expand gaming options--mix and match custom rules and features from one game with another.

In short, Iron & Gold is fast, ready-to-use, and adaptable. You don't have to learn a complicated system, refer to scores of tables, or spend all day creating characters. You can either create custom characters for the game or dive right in with any of the included ready-to-use templates. The game is designed to be light; it has a small footprint and extremely low price tag - it's not overloaded with tons of rules or an excess of information you just won't need. It's meant to get you running quickly so you can have a good time. The two ready-to-play adventure scenarios allow you to do just that.

Over the years, there have been two common requests: a genreDiversion i fantasy game and a genreDiversion i version of Iron Gauntlets. This is it, wrapping the spell-less magic system (crafting, divinity, and totem magics) into the fast-playing GDi framework, along with a simplified yet broad-covering armor system and 8 player races. Best of all, one or more future Enhancement Packs will supplement this game with even more player races, monsters, scenarios, and other material. An Iron & Gold version of Peter Spahn's Amherth setting is also planned.
