As exciting as ice hockey, as interesting as chess - it's ice hockey chess!
Ice hockey on a chesslike board. Each player has 6 pieces (players): 1 centre, 2 wings, 2 backs and 1 goalkeeper, and before the start of the game can nominate one of them as a "star player" who will be a more efficient passer than the others.
Roll a d6 to shoot, pass, or move a piece 1 step. Watch out for penalties and offsides. The game ends after a pre-agreed time or number of goals.
The three players depicted on the box front are all Finnish ice hockey legends, from left to right: Jukka Porvari, Veli-Pekka Ketola and Juhani Tamminen.
