During the course of the game, you have to acquire different goods in the forest and at the lake which can be exchanged for gold with the trader. The team that first gets a gold climb per participant wins the game.
The players are split into two teams. Each team chooses an iron age farm as the starting point. Then you go out into the iron-age landscape to collect food for their tribal members or obtain goods from the forest and the lake which can then be exchanged for gold at the famous Jämtland market place Frösön. If the game piece lands on a colored spot, it draws a card of the corresponding color and does what the card says. An important part of the game is to always ensure that all tribal members have a food card otherwise the whole tribe can starve and die.
