Jewelers create delicate broaches, chains, rings and studs, inlaid with gemstones and featuring fine engravings and then they add a touch of magic. These artistically minded artificers still sometimes build clockwork mechanisms and other small scale arcanotech items, but they eschew the gauche chunky machinery and explosions engineered by the more warlike artificer specialists. Many jewelers create elaborate kinetic sculptures featuring illuminated lenses that mimic the illusory effects of other casters. Others strive to perfect the spell storing properties of particular gemstones.
While jewelers are most likely to be encountered in urban environments, working for wealthy patrons who can afford to use their skills and pay for their expensive materials, they can be coaxed out of the city in search of legendary gemstones or on the promise of potentially unearthing eons old examples of finely crafted arcane items.
