Description

Once celebrated as heroes, the adventuring band known as the Claw has resurfaced from retirement with a dangerous new enterprise. Hidden deep in the Jotens, they have built a secret behir-breeding operation, attracting ambitious alchemists and greedy wizards eager for rare components from these fearsome creatures. When troubling whispers reach the city of Loftwick, the esteemed druid and naturalist, Baldwin Burberry, summons the heroes to investigate. But when the heroes meet Baldwin, it is clear that he fears the Claw’s influence runs deep within the city, possibly reaching the Freeholder’s Council itself.

Tasked with dismantling the Claw's unethical business, the heroes must brave treacherous terrain and overcome monstrous guardians. But it will not be easy—this is the same group that once claimed to have slain Chief Nosnra, the notorious hill giant warlord who terrorized the Yeomanry from his steading in the Jotens. Now, the Claw has become a darker legend, wielding both wealth and influence. Only the bravest—and the most discreet—will have a chance of unraveling their schemes.

This adventure is designed for four characters of 7th-8th level and expands on the rich history of the area in the Greyhawk setting.
