User summary:
Jurassic World Alive is an augmented-reality game that overlays various dinosaurs and locations on a "real world" map. The player location is determined by real-time GPS. Play involves moving around in the real world to encounter different dinosaur species which may then be examined to harvest DNA. Once sufficient DNA is collected from a given species, it can be "synthesized" in the laboratory, giving the player access to that dinosaur species. Advanced play allows existing species to be fused into new hybrid species that are stronger and faster.
A meta-game also exists, where the player's synthesized dinosaurs can be assembled into a team which then fights either a team at a given location, or a team assembled by another player.
Collecting DNA, synthesizing dinosaurs, and winning combats all yield in-game bonuses (which otherwise can be obtained through in-game purchases).
Then game often is compared to Pokémon GO, to which it is quite similar in many aspects of the play experience.
