Description
A game played on a modified checkers (chequers) or draughts board, which resembles the 8×8 board but lacks six squares in each corner. It uses two sets of 11 ordinary checkers plus 1 king for each side. The ordinary checkers may move orthogonally forwards or sideways into vacant squares, but not diagonally. Jumping is compulsory where possible. The winner is the first king to reach the two central opposite end squares.
