Card Yatzy is not played with dice but with 52 cards (values 1 to 6, 2 times each in 4 suits and 4 jokers).
Each player receives 6 cards and places one of them face down in front of him. The player whose turn it is can either draw a card from the deck face down and lay a hand card face up or draw a card face up and lay it face up. In the 2nd case, a hand card and a card from the deck must also be placed face up.
A round continues until each player has 5 cards in front of him. When evaluating the combinations achieved (different point values), only the highest combination of each type is scored. For example, if there are two doubles of 4, only the highest one counts and the other player can only score a double of 3.
After nine rounds the game ends, the player with the highest score from the combinations wins.
