The game manual is distributed as two PDF files, a 29-page rules section and a 1-page cover. As many kids are heavily involved in anime, the BESM OGL offers a natural starting point for kid friendly gaming.
Character generation closely follows the standard BESM OGL approach of Abilities, Attributes, Skills, and Equipment. The primary difference in this implementation is that all options are fairly limited--only "routine" Skills are presented, for example. The strength of the system lies in the Adventure Creation and Designers Notes with relevant advice on how to game with children.
A PDF character sheet also is available.
