From publisher blurb:
Six Lineages
Kasuari. Kasuari hail from the tumultuous lands of Ramia, making their homes in the warm forests of the Relgor Territories and the Kingdom of Melkere. They are an isolationist people, firmly standing between the spiritual and technological factions and refusing to take a side. Instead they choose to rely on their natural gifts for survival and protection. As such they make good mediators when the rivaling factions of Ramia choose to settle their differences diplomatically rather than by bloodshed.
Impennauk. When travelers began to settle in Posideia of the Espamena Archipelago, they were disappointed at the lack of fish as compared to some of the neighboring landmasses. This mystery was solved when the underwater channels and caverns of the Impennauk were discovered. Though first trade relations were rocky, today the Impennauk proudly live alongside those who have come from afar. Many of the channels between islands have been opened up for use by all, but true exploration still requires an Impennauk guide.
Kāhoa. It is said that no matter where you go in Espamena, you are never far enough from a Kāhoa to keep your secrets. These sociable people make their homes in every town in the Archipelago, living in large communities where everyone seems to know each other by name. As such they are fantastic gossips and information brokers, their small stature often meaning you don’t notice one is listening in until it’s too late.
Asterdyptes. Every Asterdyptes is born looking up at the stars and the point they look upon inspires their name. Some have called it a deep irony that a lineage so obsessed with the sky should be cursed to walk the land, but most Asterdyptes believe this is the divine will of the Watching Stars. They believe themselves to be the bridge between the heavens and the seas which they navigate, building their homes at the edges of cliffs or water sources alike.
Wompar. It’s often hard to believe the Wompar hail from the swamp lands of Bilby’s Point in Paddock, refusing to revel in the muck like many of their neighbors. They pride themselves at always being spotlessly clean, both in their attire and their homes. This attention to cleanliness leads many to make good Chefs, Healers and Hedgewitches. Don’t mistake this as a disdain for their environments however, Wompar are immensely proud of the swamps they call home and do not take kindly to those who may seek to insult them.
Rhakion. One of the oldest surviving lineages, Rhakions are often looked at as people of great wisdom and authority. This is a mistake however as these Klerth are notorious tricksters who delight in never giving a straight answer. No one knows how long a Rhakion lives, which is not helped by their propensity to lie shamelessly about their age and anything else they find amusing.
