Kreuz und Quer durchs Salzkammergut

Game ID: GID0183173
Collection Status
Description

Each player starts at one of five starting spaces. The players take turns to roll and move. The players have to visit 8 cities and return to their starting space. At each city, the player collects a cardboard ring (which may be marked with the name of the city) to stack on his playing piece. The first player to return to his starting space with eight collected rings wins the game.

In Salzburg the players may choose to gamble if they have fewer than 7 rings on their playing piece. The player rolls the die and if he rolls as many eyes as he has rings, he wins the lucky coin, which allows him to immediately move 25 spaces. If the player uses the coin it remains in Salzburg and may be won by another player. If he doesn't use it, he may keep it to prevent the other players from winning it.

If a player gets on the same space as another player, he may take a ring or the coin from him. If he takes the coin he has to chose to use it or keep it. If he uses the coin it is returned to Salzburg and may be won again.
