Description

In Kurs Süd-Ost, a.k.a. Segler ahoi!, the player yachtsmen steer their boats on the bay on a southeastern course, with them competing to sail round the island of the gulls and back home.

Each player starts in a port of his choosing, with the sequence of play determined by dice. Players move in turns, with the wind direction and strength determined by two dice, with each die showing N, W, S, E and two blanks. You have to find the best passage between the islands and the cliffs, and whoever best manages to take the wind out of the opponents' sails or bar the route through a strait improves his chances considerably.
