Play utilizes a custom deck of cards as well as a stripped pack of French playing cards. Character creation involves selecting from a random deal of options. The playing cards are held face down and used for opposed action resolution (highest play wins). The game proceeds in a series of structured turns of shared narrative creation. A series of lighted candles lends atmosphere and also tracks the turn countdown.
The custom cards are available in a separate document as print-and-play components.
