Inside this manual, you will find a new race for D&D 5th Edition: the Half-Dragon! This lineage comes complete with racial traits, descriptions, and ideas on how to create and roleplay a Half-Dragon. Included are 15 ancestries (one for each different type of Chromatic, Metallic, and Gem dragon) and 10 thematic feats, specifically tailored for Half-Dragons or possibly even for characters bearing a connection to dragons or blessed by them.
Differences Between Dragonborn and Half-Dragons: Despite their similar appearance, Dragonborn and Half-Dragons are distinctly different. Dragonborn, not directly born from dragons, represent a separate draconic race with a humanoid structure, scales, dragon-like heads, and a breath weapon; they usually lack wings. They have their own society and culture with values centered around honor and duty. Half-Dragons, however, are the direct offspring of a dragon and a humanoid, exhibiting a variable mix of traits from both parents, possibly including wings and more potent abilities, such as stronger breath weapons and innate spellcasting.
