Legends and Lies: Skeptic is an expansion for the Legends and Lies card game for 3 or 4 players. It adds an alternative to the normal partnership four player version of the game and adds the new role of the Skeptic.
Each player has a turn as the Skeptic and when filling that role they are no longer concerned with proving the existence of various cyrptozoological creatures, but have the sole purpose of debunking the other players' claims. This is done by playing Expedition cards sideways in front of them which count against proving that creature. The Skeptic also has the ability to discard a card to the Tabloids before they draw or put another way, they can plant an extra disparaging story every turn. At the end of a hand, the Skeptic's score is doubled if they are able to prevent all the cryptozoologists from having a successful expedition.
