This game complements the Letra-Mix game in Schmidt Spiele's range, which is a dice game with individual letters on the faces of the dice.
Spiel mit Sätzen translates as 'game with sentences' and the dice in this game have words on them, rather than just letters. The game comes with 24 word dice, a timer and a dice cup. The rules say the game can be played in a group or in partnerships, but it does recommend that when more than six play, they do so in partnerships.
Each player (or partnership) casts the dice and attempts to form complete sentences before the timer runs out. Words can be placed crossword-style, which means that a word could be used in a horizontal as well as vertical direction. The score is 1 point for every word that forms part of a sentence (words used in both vertical and horizontal sentences score 2 points). However, 1 point is deducted for each die that is not used.
